(DALLAS, Oct. 22, 2026; source: CultureHype) – SpendRule, an AI contract enforcement  platform that ensures health systems pay exactly what their purchased services contracts say, today announced a $4 million seed funding round led by Mark Cuban’s Radical Investments, with participation from Zeal Capital Partners. The round brings SpendRule’s total funding raised to $6 million.

The new funding will allow SpendRule to deepen its work with health systems, invest further in product development and engineering and bring the same contract enforcement technology built for complex healthcare contracts to a broader range of businesses.

“Companies spend all this time negotiating contracts, but what’s the point if nobody checks whether they’re getting what they paid for? That’s the problem SpendRule is solving,”

SpendRule has $2.91 billion in annual contracted purchased services spend across 2,187 business relationships as it builds infrastructure for businesses and AI agents. The platform connects negotiated terms to actual transactions and the evidence needed to enforce them, helping organizations prevent overpayments, recover money they’re owed and protect the value of what they negotiated. As AI agents increasingly buy, approve and pay on companies’ behalf, SpendRule provides the decision layer they need to understand what each contract allows and act accordingly.

“Every company makes commitments it can’t monitor, enforce, or keep current. SpendRule turns agreements and policies into deterministic decision systems that actually run: they check what was billed, chase what’s missing and prove the result. With one instruction, ‘activate ongoing verification for this agreement,’ finance teams can put any contract under continuous enforcement. Our ambition is to become the infrastructure that makes commercial agreements work across companies, software platforms and AI agents.”

SpendRule was built first for hospital purchased services, one of the most complex contract environments, where health systems manage thousands of vendors and sophisticated contracts covering categories such as staffing, facilities, maintenance, environmental services, security and IT. The platform checks charges against the applicable contract terms and shows the clause and calculation behind each finding. When a discrepancy is identified, both the customer and vendor can work within SpendRule from the same evidence.

“Nurses, techs, and the people who keep the building running aren’t the cost problem. Paying more than you agreed to is. Every dollar lost to a billing mismatch is a dollar that didn’t go to care. This gives health systems another place to find margin without cutting patient care.”
